Description. Female (holotype). Body length 360. Body dark brown except eye whitish, scape and legs yellow, and pedicel light brown; wings hyaline ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1, 2 ).

Head 0.7× as wide as mesosoma ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1, 2 ) with vertex transversely striate. Scape ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3 – 5 a, b) 2.0× as long as pedicel; F1 3.5× as long as F2; F3 the longest; F4 and 5 equal; F6 and F7 subequal; clava 1.4× as long as combined length of F5−F7, with 4 mps.

Mesosoma ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ) 1.15× as long as gaster ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ); mesoscutum 0.33× as long as wide, with convex, transversely striate sculpture and more arched medially; scutellum 0.7× as long as wide, with lateral longitudinal striations along length, medially the striations converge to meet. Fore wing ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 3 – 5 ) 9.2× as long as wide; disc with 5 rows each of dorsal and ventral setae in apical half; longest marginal seta 3.4× maximum wing width. Hind wing ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 3 – 5 ) 23.8× as long as wide; disc with 2 rows of dorsal setae, longest marginal seta 7.7× maximum wing width.

Metasoma. Petiole 0.50× as long as metacoxa, with a lateral spine ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ). Gaster ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ) 0.83× as long as wide. Ovipositor not exserted, 0.67× gaster length and 0.6× metatibial length.

Measurements of holotype (as length:width or length). Head, 145:205. Antenna: radicle, 15:12.5; scape, 75:17.5; pedicel, 37.5:22.5; F1, 17.5:10; F2, 5:7.5; F3, 40:7.5; F4, 35:10; F5, 35:10; F6, 32.5:10; F7, 30:12.5; clava, 137.5:25. Mesosoma, 185:157.5; mesoscutum, 37.5:112.5; scutellum, 62.5:87.5; gaster, 160:192.5. Fore wing, 460:50, longest marginal seta, 100; hind wing, 417.5:17.5; longest marginal seta, 135. Petiole, 37.5:25; ovipositor, 107.5:67.5; metacoxa, 75, metatibia, 175.

Male. Unknown.

Material examined. Holotype. EDAU / Mym11/2015, 1 female dissected and mounted on slide under four cover slips, INDIA: Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andaman Islands, North Andaman Island, Ramnagar, Diglipur, 27.v.2012, YPTs, forest ecosystem, 13o15’54.6624’’N 92o58’56.9856’’E, S. Manickavasagam and A. Rameshkumar.

Distribution. India: Andaman Islands.

Etymology. The species name is named after the archipelago of the type locality (Andaman).
