Specimens examined. INDIA, Tamil Nadu, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Annamalai University , 30.vii.2011, S. Manickavasagam & A. Rameshkumar, Mangifera indica L. orchard, Malaise trap ( 1 female, EDAU) ; Tamil Nadu, Cuddalore, Jeyamkondapattinam , 14.viii.2011, C. Menakadevi, weedy field, Malaise trap ( 2 females, EDAU) .
World distribution. Noyes (2011) previously listed Omyomymar from Australia, China, the Nearctic ( Canada) and Neotropical,(Veniezulea) regions.
New distributional records for Tamil Nadu. Species of an additional six genera, Anagru s Haliday, Anaphes Haliday , Arescon Walker , Erythmelus ( Erythmelus) Enock , Erythmelus ( Parallelaptera) Enock , Narayanella Subba Rao and Doutt , and Stethynium Enock have been recorded from other states in India previously ( Subba Rao & Hayat 1983, 1986) and are newly recorded from Tamil Nadu and also six species based on the following records:
