Description. ♂ ( Fig. 98A View FIGURE 98 ). Fully winged; body length 2.4–2.6 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous; anten- na testaceous; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs of holotype testaceous, except metacoxa almost completely brown; legs of specimen from Madagascar, 23°41.39’S 44°34.53’E, brownish; in specimens from Madagascar, 13°10.17’S 49°42.04’E, legs completely yellow, except metacoxa basally black.Antenna filiform, with setae shorter than breadth of antennomeres; antennomeres in following proportions: 8:4:8:6:5:5:5:5:5:8. Head dull, with vertex strongly punctate, unsculptured among punctures (vertex completely reticulate rugose in specimen from Madagascar, 23°41.39’S 44°34.53’E); in holotype vertex punctures very strong (head almost rugose); frons completely reticulate rugose; vertex without two oblique keels from lateral ocelli to the occipital carina; clypeus sculpured by many longitudinal keels, with anterior margin rounded, not bidentate; mandible quadridentate, with four teeth becoming regularly progressively larger from dorsal to ventral tooth; frontal line incomplete, missing in anterior half of frons; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 4; OOL = 4.5; OPL = 5; TL = 3. Mesoscutum shiny, very strongly punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.7 × length of mesoscutum. Mesoscutellum shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Metanotum shiny, unsculptured. Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, reticulate rugose, without transverse posterior keel; propodeal declivity almost completely reticulate rugose, with central smooth and shiny area, without longitudinal or transversal keels. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of 2r-rs&Rs vein slightly shorter than proximal part (10:11). Paramere with ( Fig. 96C View FIGURE 96 ) or without ( Fig. 96D View FIGURE 96 ; in specimens from Madagascar, 12°31.13’S 49°10.45’E and 12°19.22’S 49°20.17’E) distal inner process and with many papillae on inner side. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Distribution. Madagascar.

Remarks. It is possible that L. hovanus (for which only the ♂ is known) is the opposite sex of L. seyrigi ( Benoit, 1954) or L. pauliani ( Benoit, 1954) . Only ♀ specimens are known of these two species.
