Type material. CHINA: Holotype ♂, Bayi Town [29°59′N, 94°25′E], Nyingchi County, Xizang (Tibet), 2900 m, 16.vii.1983, coll. Houhun Li, gen. slide no. L92023 View Materials (NKU).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ): Wingspan 17.0 mm. Head grey mottled with black, frons off-white; labial palpus upcurved, both segments black, mixed with grey, upper surface light, nearly white, underside of segment 2 without groove, segment 3 about half length and and nearly as wide as segment 3; thorax black, middle part brown; tegulae black; forewing grey mottled with brown in costal half width, dorsal margin light grey, black spot near base, three black dots in cell surronded with brown, diffuse black spot in base of cell, black touch in fold, subaipal 1/4 light grey, termen mottled with black, cilia grey black-tipped; hindwing light grey.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 36 – 41 ): Uncus nearly as broader as long, weakly narrowed apically, apex rounded; gnathos slender, of equal width, sickle-shaped; tegumen broad, anteromedial emargination broader than long, rounded, extending to about 1/3 length of tegumen; valva slender, of equal width, apex distinctly inflated, top pointed, reaching the top of uncus; sacculus about 2/5 length of valva, slender, tapered apically; vinculum narrow, posterior margin with moderately deep medial emargination, vincular process prolonged, reaching to 2/3 length of sacculus, covered with short setae in apical part, separated by V-shaped medial incision; saccus large, broad, triangular, far exceeds the top of pedunculus; phallus stout, thick, nearly of even width, slightly curved, apical arm down-curved, lamina well developed.

Female unknown.

Remarks. New species externally most resembles K. (E.) septentrionala sp. n., but grey rather than brown. The male genitalia are well recognizable by comparaively broad parallel-sided tegumen with shallow anteromedial emargination in combination with long, narrow pointed sacculus, large saccus and stout phallus of nearly even width.

Biology. Host plant unknown. Adult has been collected in mid July at altitudes of 2900 m. Distribution. China (Xizang).

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality, Nyingchi County, Xizang.
