Scoliquadracus n. gen.
Body spindleform; gnathosoma large, curved abruptly downward. Prodorsal shield with frontal lobe, scapular tubercles long, set on rear shield margin, scapular setae (sc) directed forward. Coxae with a sternal line, all coxal setae present. Legs with standard setae, empodia entire. Dorsal opisthosoma with two furrows; low and high annuli alternate from 1st annulus to 29th, forming a serrate profile in lateral view; dorsal opisthosoma with median and submedian ridges bearing medial finger-like projections on 7th, 15th, 23rd and paired projections on 7th, 11th, 15th, 19th, 23rd, 27th annulus, respectively.
Type species. Scoliquadracus longipetiolatus n. sp.
Etymology. Scolo-, Greek, meaning branch, and - quadracus , from the generic name Quadracus Keifer , to which the new genus is most similar.
Note. This new genus in the Rhyncaphytoptinae is similar to Quadracus Keifer 1944 , but can be differentiated by the dorsal opisthosoma with two furrows and dorsal opisthosomal median and submedian ridges bearing finger-like projections. In Quadracus Keifer , dorsal annuli are broad centrally and finger-like projections are absent.
