Megarhyssa gratiosa Khalaim and Ruíz-Cancino, 2013: 197 [holotype female (EMEC), Mexico, Chiapas, 27 mi. (= 43.5 km) N of Ocozocoautla [de Espinosa], 21.VII.1965, coll. D.R. Pauson].

COMPARISON. This species may easily be recognized by the remarkable colour pattern of the metasoma which is yellow with broad dorsal black stripe extending along its entire length. Megarhyssa gratiosa also differs from the other two Mexican species by having a hyaline fore wing with a conspicuous dark spot at apex of the radial cell and the longer ovipositor, and from M. verae View in CoL in having flagellum with 56 flagellomeres (vs 36 flagellomeres in M. verae View in CoL ) and a shorter malar space.
