Records from the study area: Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra—“ Toorenticola ( Monatractides ) pusta “ Cook (1967); Prasad (1974); Pešić & Smit (2009b).

Habitat: Streams and hyporheic interstitial; probably rhithrobiont and hyporheophilous.

Distribution: Indonesia, Sulawesi, Brunei, India, Sri Lanka (” Torrenticola pusta ” K. O. Viets 1973), Thailand, Malaysia.
