( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4. 1 )

Tripanda signitenens auct.: Villiers (1952b): 1209 (distribution (partim); accepted).

Tripanda (Tripanda) jurickorum Kment & Jindra, 2009: 5 View Cited Treatment −6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 24, 26−30, 43, Figs 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4. 1 , 11 View FIGURES 8 – 11. 8 – 10 , 22 View FIGURES 16 – 23 , 36–37, 64–65, 84, 87, 94, 109, 119, 126–127, 146 (key to species, description, figures, faunistics). Holotype: ♂, Guinea, Mt. Nimba, Ziéla (MRAC).

Material examined. GABON: Belinga 101, 13. ii.1963, 1 ♀; Belinga 150, 25. ii.1963, 1 ♂; Belinga 155, 27. ii.1963, 1 ♂, Belinga 189, 7. iii.1963, 1 ♂; Belinga 222, 19. iii.1963, 1 ♀, Mission Biologique au Gabon P.P. ( NMPC).— IVORY COAST: Tai, frondaison [= foliage], 29. vi.1979, 1 ♂, G. Couturier lgt. ( MNHN); Tai, piége lumineux [= light trap], champ de riz [= rice field], 5. x.1978, 1 ♂, G. Couturier lgt. ( MNHN).

Variability. The examined specimens fit the original description of T. jurickorum . The specimens differ among themselves in the intensity of the reddish tinge on the body surface, ranging from pale brownish specimens without any tinge to specimens distinctly orange-reddish on the entire dorsal surface. Legs and body venter (♂♀) mostly pale yellowish with concolorous punctures, only in one male the punctures are red; corium in most of the specimens with conspicuous net-like pattern of anastomosing dark punctures.

Measurements (in mm). For consistency with Kment & Jindra (2009) the measurements are given without standardization. To get the absolute lengths, the following as well as all the measurements in that paper must be multiplied by 1.022.

Males (median (minimum −maximum); n = 4, for antennal segment IV n = 3). Body length 8.8 (8.6–9.5); head: length 1.95 (1.9–2.0), width 1.8 (1.7–1.8), interocular width 1.1 (1.1–1.1); lengths of antennal segments: I—0.5 (0.45–0.55), IIa—0.85 (0.8–0.9), IIb—0.725 (0.7–0.75), III—1.0 (0.95–1.0), IV—1.3 (1.25–1.3); pronotum: length 2.1 (2.0–2.3), width 6.2 (6.1–6.6); scutellum: length 3.45 (3.3–3.5), width 3.6 (3.5–3.8); abdomen width 5.6 (5.5–5.8).

Females (n = 2, for antennal segments III and IV n = 1). Body length 9.5 / 10.0; head: length 2.0 / 2.1, width 1.9 / 2.0, interocular width 1.2 / 1.3; lengths of antennal segments: I—0.5 / 0.45, IIa—0.9 / 0.95, IIb—0.8 / 0.85, III—– / 1.0, IV—– / 1.25; pronotum: length 2.2 / 2.4, width 6.8 / 7.1; scutellum: length 3.7 / 4.0, width 4.1 / 4.3; abdomen width 5.9 / 6.2.

Bionomics. Collected from foliage and by light trap installed at rice field in Ivory Coast (this paper).

Distribution. Gabon (new record), Guinea ( Villiers 1952b; Kment & Jindra 2009), Ivory Coast (new record). The female of Tripanda sp. from Gabon: Komo (see Kment & Jindra 2009) most probably belongs to this species.
