Saccharodite timida Zelazny View in CoL , sp. nov.
( Fig. 294)
Description. Forewings 2.1 times longer than wide, length in male 4.0– 4.3 mm. Colour stramineous; margins of facial carinae above eyes, a mark on thoracic pleura, and abdominal tergites orange to orange-red; a red line across base of scutellum in holotype, but missing in paratype. Forewings glassy; faintly infuscated around clavus tip up to middle of Cu1; veins stramineous, but veins at very base of wing, in infuscated parts, and last subcostal sector red; base of Sc+R without dark spots. Hindwings with basal sections of Cu and claval veins red. In profile, junction of vertex and face rounded; rostrum reaching post trochanters; subantennal processes connected to margins of facial carinae. Forewings with Sc+R fork at middle of wing; basal median cell broad, twice as wide as basal cell between Sc+R and M; bases of Cu1 and Ms1b usually merged (but see Fig. 294s), but tips separated; a tiny triangle at base of Ms1. Male genitalia with pygofer narrow. Genital styles oval; proximal dorsal process short and slender; distal dorsal process long. Apex of aedeagus with two flat lobes; the right one narrower and usually (holotype) finely serrated at the end.
Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (timidus, -a, -um = timid).

Diagnosis. Saccharodite timida shows similarities to Sa. aurora sp. nov., Sa. perlucida sp. nov., and Sa. propinqua sp. nov., all three also from Borneo, as well as to Sa. separata Zelazny from the Philippines. It can be easily separated from these by its stramineous mesonotum.
