Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (sordidus, -a, -um = dirty).
Type material. Holotype ♂, PHILIPPINES, Mindanao I., Misamis Or. Prov. , Pigtibiran, 600m, 1–13.V.1961, L.M. Torrevillas ( BPBM #11,941 About BPBM ).
