Another widespread but rarely seen eucnemid species, X. crassicornis was previously recorded from Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin ( Evans 2011; Muona 2000; Otto 2010, 2012; Otto and Karns 2017).
