Figured specimen. MP-O-2830, open carapace, RV length: 0.364 mm, RV height: 0.189 mm, LV length: 0.359 mm, LV height: 0.186 mm.
Locality. Trindade Island , site Lixo Bay, Sample M17022 N.
Material. Dead assemblage: 1 C.
Remarks. A unique specimen of Semicytherura sp. was recovered from Trindade Island at the Lixo Bay site, and because of this, the authors chose to keep the species in open nomenclature. Semicytherura sp. is a small-sized species like Semicytherura parva sp. nov., but they differ mainly in the dorsal contour, which is more arcuate in the latter species, and the caudal process, which is located at half the height in Semicyhtherura sp., while in S. parva sp. nov. it is in the mid-dorsal position. Furthermore, the species Semicytherura sp. is coarser ornamented and presents a different pattern of reticules and ribs.
Occurrence and distribution. The species occur solely in Trindade Island in the following locality: Lixo Bay ( Tab. 3 View TABLE 3 ).
