Distribution. British Islands, Europe from Portugal, Spain, France to Scandinavia, Baltic countries, Balkans, Ukraine, Central and South European Russia, Algeria, Tunisia, Madeira; Asian Turkey, Iran ( Knížek 2011b; Alonso-Zarazaga et al. 2017, 2023); reported by Stark (1952) and Arnoldi et al. (1955) from Caucasus without country data. Armenia: reported by Zaitzev (1950) from Armenia without distribution data, by Mirzoian (1954) from Dilijan and Ijevan (Tavush Province) and by Iablokoff-Khnzorian (1957) from Ijevan as well.

Hosts. Quercus , Fagus orientalis , Carpinus .
