Material. 1 ad. ( HNHM chilo-7722), Azerbaijan Republic , Lenkaran District, Lenkaran, forest, in soil, 40– 50 cm, 27.X.1962, coll. unknown .
Records in the HE. Azerbaijan Republic: Lenkaran District (as P. caucasicum ; Samedov et al. 1976), Iran: Gilan and Mazandaran provinces (as P. caucasicum ; Brolemann 1921; Attems 1951; Zapparoli 1986; Zarei et al. 2020).
Distribution. A trans-Palaearctic species ( Dyachkov et al. 2022b).
Remarks. P. caucasicum was synonymized under P. ferrugineum by Bonato and Minelli (2014).
