Type material. Holotype 3, Thailand, Phetchabun, Nam Nao NP Helicopter landing ground, 16º43.184´N, 101º35.137´E, 875m, Malaise trap, 10–17 July 2006, Noopean Hongyothi leg. T271 ( QSBG). Paratypes, 63, data as holotype; 43, Thailand, Phetchabun, Nam Nao NP Helicopter landing ground, 16º43.113´N, 101º35.134´E, 889m, Malaise trap, 3–10 July 2006, Noopean Hongyothi leg. T270; 13, Thailand, Phetchabun, Nam Nao NP Helicopter landing ground, 16º43.184´N, 101º35.137´E, 875m, Malaise trap, 17– 24 July 2006, Noopean Hongyothi leg. T274 ( QSBG, INHS).
Etymology. The species name refers to the short apical process of the aedeagus.
Description. Body length (including tegmen):3 4.5 – 4.7mm.
Male genitalia: Pygophore moderately long, dorsal margin sloping to truncate posterior margin, with a short spine-like process on dorso-posterior corner, directed dorsad. Subgenital plate very short with relatively broadly rounded apex. Connective stem slightly longer than arms. Style relatively short. Aedeagal shaft robust, apical process with length subequal to 1/2 length of shaft.
Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished by the pygophore with a short process at the dorsoposterior margin, the subgenital plate short and the aedeagal shaft robust with a short apical process, subequal to half the length of the shaft.
Distribution. Thailand ( Fig.16 View FIGURE 16 ).
