Remarks. The taxonomic history of the species and the validity of C. brasilianorum were reviewed recently ( Sanborn 2016c). The generic characters can be used to distinguish it from other Suriname species as it is the only species of the genus represented in Suriname. The head and thorax of the species are green (often fading to tawny) heavily marked with piceous and testaceous, the abdomen is tawny and ferruginous with transverse piceous fasciae on the tergites, and body lengths of 24.5–34.0 mm.
Distribution. Specimens have been reported from Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Peru, South America, and Suriname ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn 2011a; 2013; 2016c; 2019b; 2020c).
