( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 1 − 5 , 15 View FIGURES 14 − 17 , 22 View FIGURES 22 − 23 )

Description. Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 − 5 ) with wingspan 11.0 mm. Head fuscous, with reddish-metallic gloss. Antenna shinning fuscous, gently subserrulate towards tip. Labial palpus fuscous; basal segment whitish; median segment coarse ventrally, with two white rings disconnected dorsally; terminal segment pointed, fuscous with white suffusion ventrally. Thorax and tegula grayish fuscous, with weak metallic shinning. Legs fuscous; mid and hind tarsi with whitish rings on distal end of each segment. Forewing oblong, widened from base to before distal 2/5; costa almost straight; apex rounded; termen slightly notched below apex, then strongly oblique. Forewing ground color grayish fuscous, laid with orange yellow on distal 2/3, apex brownish yellow; costa with four silvery-grayish streaks: first streak from basal 1/4 extending to above fold, slightly oblique outwards, white on costa; second streak from before middle straightly to dorsal 2/3, white on costa and dorsum; third streak from before costal 3/5, obliquely inwards to middle of distal end of cell, slenderer and shorter than first, white on costa; areas between preceding three streaks orange yellow; fourth streak subapical, reaching notch below apex, silvery metallic except anterior 1/3 white; area between third and fourth streaks grayish fuscous, with four longitudinal blackish-gray lines, ranging from below costa to middle of wing, second line from costa with an oblong metallic-silvery spot on distal end; dorsum with one broad white stripe, extending from basal 1/4 to just above fold; a large triangular black blotch placed below a horizontal line that links distal end of third costal streak and notch below apex, occupying posterior half of termen and tornus, its inner margin on extension line of third costal streak, upper margin with basal half yellow, distal half black, with a single silvery-metallic dot near corner between inner and upper margins, with four evenly spaced silvery-metallic dots along termen, with a line of yellow spots between the single dot and the dots along termen running from middle of inner margin of black blotch curved upwards to middle of yellow upper margin; cilia glossy, basal half forming a fuscous-golden band, distal half gray fuscous; white on notch below apex. Hindwing lanceolate, glossy fuscous; cilia purplish fuscous.

Female adult similar to male, but with a white costal dot before fourth costal streak, area between third and fourth streaks suffused with dense black scales but not forming blackish-gray lines.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 14 − 17 ). Tegumen + vinculum ovate, sclerotized laterally. Tuba analis exceeding tegumen. Vinculum sclerotized, broad, subtriangular; saccus short, obtusely pointed. Valva more or less spindle-shaped, basal 2/3 almost evenly widened; distal 1/3 almost triangular, dorsal margin straight, apex narrowly rounded; distal 3/4 densely haired. Aedeagus with basal 2/3 gradually narrowed; distal 1/3 clavate, with dense short spines. Anellus a large cylinder, heavily sclerotized, with dense short hairs on distal half, with a pair of subapical patches of short hairs.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 22 − 23 ). Papilla analis ovate, sclerotized, densely haired; intersegment membrane between eighth tergite twice longer than eighth tergite. Posterior apophysis slightly protruded at basal 1/5, distal end flattened; anterior apophysis slightly thicker, shorter than posterior apophysis, furcated at basal 1/3. Eighth tergite sclerotized, more or less trapezoidal; lateral lobes triangular, sparsely bristled on posterior margins. Ostium bursae a large shallow cup, densely spinulate on posterior margin. Ductus bursae very thin, moderately long. Corpus bursae oval, without cestum; ductus seminalis originating from corpus bursae near ductus bursae.

Diagnosis. This species belongs to the loricatella -group. It resembles G. magnatella Erschoff, 1877 , but can be distinguished by the forewing having four costal streaks and an oblong metallic-silvery spot on distal end of the second blackish-gray line from costa, and the valva without a ridge extending from base to near middle; in G. magnatella , the forewing has five costal streaks and lacks the oblong metallic-silvery spot on distal end of the second blackish-gray line from costa ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 − 5 ), and the valva bears a ridge extending from base to near middle ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 14 − 17 ).

Type material. Holotype ♂, CHINA: Mt. Xinglong (35°46′N 104°03′E), Yuzhong County, Gansu Province, 2130 m, 2.viii.1993, leg. Houhun Li, genitalia slide No. LTT12160. Paratype: 1 ♀, 19.viii.2007, leg. Feng Yang & Hanguang Gao, the same locality as holotype but 2178 m, genitalia slide No. LTT12171.

Distribution. China (Gansu).
