Syringophilopsis hirundus Skoracki, 2004

This species was originally described from Hirundo rustica Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Hirundinidae ) from Poland ( Skoracki 2004b). Later on, it was recorded on the type host from England ( Nattress & Skoracki 2007). In Kazakhstan, this species was recorded from the type host.

Material examined. 3 females and 3 males ( AVB 07-2909-001) from Hirundo rustica ( Passeriformes : Hirundinidae ); KAZAKHSTAN: Ongtustik Qazaqstan, Chockpak Ornithological Station, 1134m, 42°30'45.2''N, 70°35'46.2''E, 29 September 2007, coll. A. Bochkov.
