Syncopacma azosterella (Herrich-Schäffer, 1855)

Arkaim 18.VI.1996; Kuvandyk 19.VII.1998; Moskovo 18–19.VI.1998; Uchaly 25.VII.2000. A total of 4 exx.

Distribution. Widely distributed in E, C and S Europe (Karsholt, unpublished) to S Ural.

Remarks. This is the species figured as “306. Syncopacma sp. 1 ” by Elsner et al. (1999); it is new to Russia. Recently it was recorded also from Bulgaria (Pirin Mountains), where it was locally abundant around Genista sp. (Junnilainen & Kaitila, unpublished). The nomenclature and distribution of this species will be treated by Karsholt ( in prep.).
