Diagnosis
Suarius nanus is similar to Suarius walsinghami orientalis in having similar brownish marking at the proximal crossvein of third intracubital cell (icu3) in the forewing ( Hölzel 1978: figs 1–2), but can be distinguished by the presence of basal dilation of pretarsal claws. No additional specimens were added in this study.
Distribution
Pakistan. Balochistan (Quetta), Gilgit-Baltistan (Gilgit, Hunza, Nagar), –– Afghanistan, South-Eastern Europe (Macedonia, Greece), Northern Africa (Algeria), Middle East (widespread) ( Hölzel 1967, 1978; Ari et al. 2007; Doboz et al. 2018; Hassan et al. 2019; Oswald 2022).
