Holotype female, Solomon Islands (NHM) (genitalia not examined). Morphological characters were discussed by Holloway (1982), who assigned the species to Ziridava .

Prorocorys admirabilis Warren, 1903 View in CoL (syn.), Solomon Islands, Santa Isabel Island, synonymized by Holloway (1997) (see also Scoble 1999).

Note. The affinity of gemmata View in CoL with the genus Ziridava View in CoL needs to be tested as the wing pattern shows distinct deviation (Schmidt, unpubl. data).

Geographical range. Solomon Islands: Santa Island.
