1962 Cypridea armata n. sp. —Krömmelbein, p. 455–456, pl. 56, fig. 27.

Diagnosis: A Cypridea species which largely corresponds in lateral outline and fine sculpture to C. kegeli Wicher , but with a strong spine directed backwards, towards the posterior, below the carapace middle. Fine sculpture consists of coarse, rather irregular dimples, yet (in contrast to C. kegeli ) distributed more over the whole carapace surface and not confined to the central field.

Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4187.

Paratypes: 2 carapaces under SMF Xe 4188 .

Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.83mm, height 0.55mm.
