Diagnosis: A medium-sized species of the genus Reconcavona which exhibits a very close relationship, in its carapace shape and sculpture, to R. cancellata Krömmelbein, 1962 and R. centronodosa Krömmelbein, 1962 . Its distinguishing feature is a flat valve swelling with warty sculpture, in a ventro-median position, lying behind the middle. The remaining outer surface of the carapace is smooth or has an indistinct mesh-like sculpture.
Paratypes: 2 carapaces under SMF Xe 4810 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.77mm, height 0.44mm, width 0.36mm.
Dimensions: Paratype, Carapace, length 0.75mm, height 0.44mm, width 0.27mm.
Remarks (Bate et al. herein): Holotype SMF Xe 4809 lost during present authors’ work. Paratype from SMF Xe 4810 figured.
