Choeroparnops scaberrimus comb. nov. (Piza, 1976)
Diophanes scaberrimus Piza, 1976
According to the description the species supposedly resembles Diophanes scabricolle , but it obviously belongs to the very different genus Choerparnops, which also belongs to a different tribe, Platyphyllini instead of Pterophyllini . Within that genus it is similar to C. forcipatus , but differs in pronotum shape, spination of hind legs, male subgenital plate, and measurements.
