Type species — Tenthras obliteratus Thomson, 1864 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Antennae in both sexes shorter than body; prothorax with lateral tubercles well-developed at the posterior third; pronotum without tubercles; elytra without centrobasal crest or longitudinal carina; tibiae with long apical spur; basal metatarsomere longer than next two together. Number of species currently included: 2 (both in Central America ).
