M a t e r i a l. A leafy shoot with one cone from GLAz (photograph) and a small shoot from GLA20 (MGPTPU141005a).

R e m a r k s. The pyriform cone is diagnostic of Glyptostrobus . The sterile leafy shoots have more delicate and short scaly leaves compared to Cryptomeria and Taiwania .
