Pholoe inornata Johnston, 1839 DISTRIBUTION: NA, CA, SA.

OTHER REPORTED NAMES: Pholoe minuta (Fabricius, 1780) .
REMARKS: Reported for all Adriatic sectors in the polychaete checklist of the Italian seas ( Castelli et al. 2008). However, more precise data on collecting sites not available. Reports of Pholoe minuta (Fabricius, 1780) , which is a Northwestern Atlantic species that does not occur in European waters ( Petersen 1998), by Casellato & Stefanon (2008) and Castelli et al. (2008) in the Adriatic Sea, probably refer to P. inornata .
