MATERIAL EXAMINED. — Madagascar. Northwest, east, south; Ankarana, Ambohivoangy, Fort Dauphin ; 4 specimens.

DISTRIBUTION. — Madagascar; the subspecies P. s. continentalis Lundblad, 1952 is recorded from E and W Africa.
