Amphelictus novellus View in CoL and A. fuscipennis View in CoL were described from Valle, Colombia. The comparison of the original description and figures of the holotype (male) and the allotype of A. fuscipennis View in CoL with the male holotype of A. novellus View in CoL allow us to propose the new synonymy.
Specimens examined. COLOMBIA, Valle del Cauca: “Lower" Achicayá, 400m (tropical very wet forest), male, 5.III.1973, R. Wilkerson leg. (holotype of A. novellus View in CoL , MNRJ); Cali, male, 13.VI.1969 (MNRJ). Geographical distribution. Colombia.
