Genus Tenthecoris Scott View in CoL
Tenthecoris Scott, 1886: 65 View in CoL . Type species: Tenthecoris bicolor Scott, 1886 View in CoL . Monotypic.
Diagnosis. Species largely red or yellow, with black or metallic-blue markings. Eyes sessile, located in the posterior area of head.
Discussion. Carvalho (1951c) revised the genus and provided a key to species. The species of this genus frequently become pests of orchids, causing severe chlorosis, leaf drop, and loss of flowers ( Hsiao and Sailer, 1947; Wheeler, 2001).
