This monotypic genus is also represented in Turkey. L. linearis (Hampe, 1871) has until now been reported with an exact locality in Turkey only by Adlbauer (1988) from Niğde province. So it is probably distributed in the western half of Turkey.

Zoogeographically, L. linearis has SE-European chorotype.

Zoogeographical analysis

The Turkish Callidiini include 23 species in eight genera. The dominant chorotypes are Anatolian, European and SW-Asiatic. Holarctic, SE-European, S-European, Sibero- European and W-Palaearctic chorotypes are the next most common ( Figure 1 View Figure 1 ).

Three species, making up about 13% of the recorded species, have Anatolian chorotype. Therefore, they are endemic to Turkey. These are R. hanae , R. sculpturatus and P. magnanii . Three species, making up about 13% of the recorded species, have European chorotype: R. femoratus , P. pusillum and P. rufipes . There are also three species, making up about 13% of the recorded species, that have SW-Asiatic chorotype: P. (M.) femoralis , L. tuerki and C. syriacum . Two species, making up about 8.5% of the recorded species, have Holarctic chorotype: P. (s. str.) testaceus and C. violaceum . Two species, making up about 8.5% of the recorded species, have S-European chorotype: R. insubricus and P. fasciatum . Two species, making up about 8.5% of the recorded species, have Sibero-European chorotype: R. clavipes and C. aeneum . There are also two species, making up about 8.5% of the recorded species, that have W-Palaearctic chorotype: P. sanguineum and P. alni . The remaining species, each making up about 4.5% of the recorded species, each have a different chorotype. L. linearis has SE-European chorotype, S. russicus has central Asiatic-European chorotype, R. macropus has E-European chorotype, R. ledereri has E-Mediterranean (Palaestino-Taurian) chorotype, P. lividum has Mediterranean chorotype and R. lederi has Turanian (Ponto-Caspian) chorotype.

However, 10 species, making up about 43% of the recorded species, are related to European chorotypes: R. clavipes (Sibero-European) , R. femoratus (European) , R. insubricus (S-European), R. macropus (E-European), S. russicus (central Asiatic- European), C. aeneum (Sibero-European) , P. fasciatum (S-European), P. pusillum (European) , P. rufipes (European) and L. linearis (SE-European).
