The host plant for Troyus phyllides (2021-FLP-IMM-0116, 0366, 0367; 2022-FLP-IMM-0101-B, 0128) was identified as a grass species, Lasiacis ligulata Hitchcock & Chase. This plant species is a common component of the understory, especially along large forest trails in FLP. Based on 2021-FLP-IMM-0116, the particular individual where the egg was located was at the entrance of a forest trail. On the date the egg was collected, the plant height was 1.3 m. The egg was found at a distance of 0.7 m from the ground, situated on the abaxial surface, in the middle part of the leaf blade, and near the leaf margin.
