Panurginus morawitzii Friese, 1897: 20 , nom. nov. pro Panurginus pictipes ( Morawitz, 1894) .

Type locality: Germab, Akhal Province ( Turkmenistan).

Published (original) locality: “Germab”.

Current status. Panurginus morawitzii Friese, 1897 (according to Friese 1897: 20).

Remarks. H. Friese replaced Panurginus pictipes Morawitz, 1894 in 1897. The two taxa are no longer considered congeneric, but the substitute name is in use. Therefore, the name Panurginus pictipes Morawitz, 1894 is permanently invalid (Article 59.3 of ICZN 1999).

Distribution. Turkmenistan ( Morawitz 1894).
