Type locality: Anau, Akhal Province ( Turkmenistan).

Published (original) locality: “Annau, Transcaspien”.

Lectotype (designated here): ♀, Аннау [ Turkmenistan, Akhal Province , Anau, 37°54′N, 58°30′E], 22. VI // schewyrewi Morawitz , ♀ [handwritten by F. Morawitz] // к.[оллекциЯ] Ф. Paralectotypes: 2 ♀, the same label as in the lectotype.

Current status. Camptopoeum (Camptopoeum) schewyrewi Morawitz, 1897 (according to Patiny 1999b: 313).

Remarks. Description of male: Popov 1936: 10.

Distribution. Turkmenistan, Pakistan ( Popov 1936; Ascher & Pickering 2024).
