Distribution: This species is restricted to South America: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru ( Silva & Tozzi 2012); in Brazil it occurs in the states of all regions but in the Central-west region it occurs only in the Distrito Federal ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Capanema area.
Reproductive period: It flowers and fruits principally from November to April, but with a greater degree of fruiting between April and May ( Silva & Tozzi 2012). In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower in April.
Diagnostic characteristics: Trees with pinnate leaves recognized by young branches, petioles, rachises and petiolules sparsely hyaline-to rufescent-pubescent, predominantly elliptical leaflets, pseudoracemose inflorescences, each node with 2 flowers held in a Y-shape by the flower pedicels ( Silva & Tozzi 2012).
Conservation: Native–NE.
