Notes. The synonymy between Montandonius and Gelastocoris proposed by Todd (1955) was considered incorrect by De Carlo (1959) and Nieser (1975), but accepted by Schnack & Estévez (1979); see also Todd (1961). The few records of Gelastocoris species from Chile are somewhat old and isolated. The possibility of mislabeling should not be disregarded.
