Note. Belostoma anurum (Herrich-Schäffer, 1848) , B. bergi ( Montandon, 1899) , B. boops ( Dufour, 1863) (= B. asiaticum (Mayr, 1863)) , B. ellipticum Latreille, 1833 , and B. stollii ( Amyot & Serville, 1843) have been reported from Chile, but either the identifications or the records themselves were incorrect (see Faúndez & Carvajal 2017a for more details).
