NOTE. SCHMID-EGGER (2005) separated members of the A. proxima complex, giving a general distribution for A. proxima sensu stricto from northern and central Europe to Italy and south-east through the Balkans to Greece. Though only listing material from Bulgaria for A. alutacea (see entry above), newly examined material demonstrates that both taxa are indeed present.
