Type material. HOLOTYPE GoogleMaps ♂, labeled: China. Tibet: Qamdo, Markam, Zewo   GoogleMaps [N29°54′06″ E98°27′59″], 3508 m, 2013. VII.5, sweep nets, Xiaoyan Liu (CAU).

Distribution. China (Tibet).

Remarks. The holotype was collected when sweeping bushes along mountain trails. The new species is similar to S. arctus from Taiwan ( China), but with black mid and hind coxae plus an unornamented hypandrium. In the latter species, the legs are wholly yellow and the hypandrium is lobately expanded apically ( Becker 1922).

Etymology. The species is named after the type locality.
