Empoascanara gracilis Dworakowska, 1992: 32 View in CoL
Description. Vertex yellowish brown, with large black patch in middle of anterior margin ( Figs 5, 7 View FIGURES 1–12 ). Eyes greyish black ( Figs 5, 7 View FIGURES 1–12 ). Pronotum yellowish brown, with median and lower half black brown ( Figs 5, 7 View FIGURES 1–12 ). Scutellum yellowish brown, basal triangles black; scutellar suture obvious ( Figs 5, 7 View FIGURES 1–12 ). Forewing semitransparent, brownish.
Abdominal apodemes small, not exceeding hind margin of 4rd sternite ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 22–30 ).
Male genitalia. Pygofer lobe broad; pygofer dorsal appendage bifurcate near middle, with dorsal branch short and ventral branch long ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 22–30 ). Subgenital plate broadened sub-basally, provided with 3 long macrosetae on lateral surface, numerous peg-like setae and microsetae along dorsal margian and near apex ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 22–30 ). Style truncate at apex, preapical lobe distinct ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 22–30 ). Aedeagus shaft curved dorsad, serrated along upper half margins, with pair of long basal atrial processes; gonopore located at lower half length of shaft on ventral view. Preatrium and dorsal apodeme larger in lateral view ( Figs 26, 28 View FIGURES 22–30 ). Connective nearly Y-shaped, with distinct central lobe and short arms ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 22–30 ).
Specimen examined. 12♂♂, 20♀♀, CHINA, Guizhou Prov., Shibing , 2 VII 2018, coll. Chao Tan.
Measurement. Body length ♂ 2.4 mm; ♀ 2.3~2.4 mm.
Distribution. Korea; China (Guizhou).
