Genus Pentamerismus McGregor, 1949
The genu s Pentamerismus can readily be recognized, according to Meyer & Van Dis, (1993) by the following combination of characters: body ovate to obovate; palpus five- segmented, distal segment with three phaneres; second and fourth segment with or without setae; rostral shield present or absent; prodorsum with three pairs of setae ( ve, sci and sce); opisthosoma with three pairs of dorso-central setae ( c1, d1, e1); two pairs of dorsosublateral setae ( c2, d2,); seven pairs of dorsolateral setae ( c3, d3, e3, f2, f3, h1, h2) to eight pairs of dorsolateral setae ( c3, d3, e2, e3, f2, f3, h1, h2) and setae f1 is absent. Intercoxal area with setae 3a and 4a. Pregenital shield usually present, pregenital area with one pair of aggenital setae ( ag); genital shield with two pairs of setae ( g1- g2), arranged in a transverse row and three pairs of anal setae ( ps1- 3). Tarsal claws uncinate.
