Specimen examined:— SAGAING. Hkampti District: Haase s.n. (AMES).
Notes:— Only a single flower preserved on a glycerine slide exists. Study of this flower by PO shows that it is not P. stobartiana . Furthermore, P. hainanensis Tang & F.T.Wang (isotype: AMES), which is sometimes considered conspecific with P. stobartiana , is thought to be a good species (contrary to Dalström & Ormerod 2010).
