Homotypic synonym: Coelogyne chinensis (Lindl.) Rchb. f. in Ann. Bot. Syst. (Walpers) 6: 237, 1861.

Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District: 1160 m, 29 May 1929, Sue Koe 10016 ( K), det. E. F. de Vogel. Also reported from Putao District in Kachin State by Saw Lwin (2007: 254 & 256), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Northern Myanmar, Vietnam and China.

Note:— According to de Vogel (1988: 44), three further collections from Kachin State at E and K also belong here.
