Basionym : Saccolabium pechei Rchb. View in CoL f., Gard. Chron., ser. 3, 1: 447, 1887. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State : Mawlamyine District, Peche s.n. ( holotype: W-R 40811 ) .

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : 700–800 m, 8 Aug 2017, Liu 470 ( HITBC), fide Liu et al. (2020b: 118) . MON. Mawlamyine District: type; same loc., ex Peche s.n., cult. RBG Kew 05-1887 ( K). Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 79), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Endemic.

Note:— Seidenfaden (1988: 303) suspected this taxon may be a synonym of G. obliquus .
