Basionym: Limatodis rosea Lindl. View in CoL , Paxton’s Fl. Gard. 3: 35, 1852. Type:— MYANMAR. Mon State: Mawlamyine District , Lobb s.n. (holotype: K-LINDL) .

Homotypic synonyms: Alismorkis rosea (Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. View in CoL Gen . Pl. 2: 650, 1891. Preptanthe rosea (Lindl.) T.Yukawa & P.J.Cribb, Bull. Natl. View in CoL Mus View in CoL . Nat . Sci., Tokyo, ser. B, 40: 146, 2014.

Specimens examined:— KAYIN. Kawkareik District: 1220 m, Beddome 8120 ( BM) . MON. Thaton District: 2007 or 2008, Saw Lwin SL s.n., photo; Mawlamyine District : type;?same loc., Parish 11 (not located), fide Parish (1883: 196; as Limatodis rosea ); same loc., Hundley s.n. ( K). Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 68), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Southern Myanmar and Thailand.
