For now, Pseudichnea remains a monotypic genus, but two new species will be added in a forthcoming publication. Corporaal (1950) lists Ichnea obscura Gorham under Pseudichnea Schenkling. Examination of the type specimen (in the Natural History Museum, London, UK) revealed it to be a junior synonym of Ichnea fumigata Gorham (new synonymy).
