Distribution. Southeastern Europe, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine.
Distribution in Serbia. N (V), W, C, E, and S (including K) (2; 5; 9; 10; 14; 17; 21–23; 25; 27; 39; 43; 48; 52– 54; 56; 60; 62; 68; 75; 76; 80).
Remarks. Common and widely distributed in Serbia. From lowlands to highlands. Collected on stumps of oak, trunks of beech, and below cut trunks of beech, oak, and hornbeam.
180b. Morimus asper ganglbaueri (Reitter, 1894)
Examined material. None.
Distribution. Balkan Peninsula, Italy.
Distribution in Serbia. Serbia, without precise locality (46).
Remarks. Mikšić & Korpič (1985) reported it from Serbia, but without any additional data on the precise finding. Later, Danilevsky (2015) confirms the presence in Serbia. No other data available from the literature exist regarding the presence in Serbia. The finding in the country is doubtful.
