The records for Kerman, Kermanshah, Sistan & Baluchestan, Tehran ( Borumand 2002), and Khorasan (Sakenin et al. 2008) are most probably misidentifications with different subspecies of J. euphratica . Additionaly, J. pietzehmanni var. deserticoloides Théry 1926 (see below) is a junior synonym of J. c. gotwendensis . According to V. Kubáň, J. c. consobrina is a habitant of clay and stony soils on the hills while J. c. gotwendensis is associated with coastal sandy soils.
