Note. According to Kubáň (2006) P. malachitica Abeille de Perrin, 1896 is a subspecies of P. xerxes ( Marseul) 1865 , so the record of P. lugubris transcaspica in Southern-east Iran is doubtful. The records for Populus spp. as host plants ( Modarres Awal 1997) are also doubtful.
