Description. FEMALE: (n = 14) Body fusiform, 175 (165–175), 72 (71–72) wide, 55 (55–60) thick; light yellow. Gnathosoma 20 (18–20), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal setae absent, dorsal pedipalp genual setae (d) 6 (6–7), chelicerae 19 (17–19). Prodorsal shield 55 (54–55), 70 (68–70) wide; anterior shield lobe present, broad and long; prodorsal shield design with median line which bifurcates forward and connects with sinuous admedian lines by a short cross line at 1/2, admedian lines connected posteriorly to median line. Scapular tubercles ahead of rear margin, 20 (20–22) apart, scapular setae (sc) 6 (5–7) projecting centrad. Cox-genital annuli 8. Coxal area smooth; anterolateral setae on coxisternum I (1b) 5 (4–5), proximal setae on coxisternum I (1a) 10 (10–12), proximal setae on coxisternum II (2a) 25 (25–28). Prosternal apodeme present. Legs: Leg I 40 (40–42), femur 11 (10–11), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 10 (10–11); genu 4 (3–4), antaxial genual seta (l'') 25 (25–27); tibia 9 (7–9), paraxial tibial seta (l') 6 (5–6), seta located 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 6 (6–7), tarsal seta (u') 5 (4–5), tarsal empodium simple, long, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed, long. Leg II 36 (36–37), femur 10 (10–11), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 11 (11–12); genu 3 (3–4), antaxial genual seta (l'') 5 (5–6); tibia 6 (5–6); tarsus 6 (6–7), tarsal seta (u') 4 (4–5), tarsal empodium simple, long 4- rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed, long. Opisthosoma: dorsal opisthosoma with 26 (26–27) annuli, with elliptical microtubercles laterally and round microtubercles dorsally, first annulus broad, equal to 2 or 3 annuli, dorsal opisthosoma with three ridges; ventrally with 58 (58–59) annuli, with filament microtubercles on annular rear margin. Setae c2 15 (13–15) on ventral annulus 11 (10–13); setae d absent; setae e 10 (6–10) on ventral annulus 35 (35–38); setae f 15 (15–20) on 6th ventral annulus from rear. Setae h1 3 (2–3). Female genitalia 14 (14–15), 23 (23–24) wide, coverflap with 12 longitudinal ridges and with granules at base, proximal setae on coxisternum III (3a) 7 (6–7).

MALE: Not Seen.

Types. Holotype, female, from Wisteria sinensis (Sims) Sweet (Leguminosae) , Wuyi Mountain, Wuyishan City, Fujian Province, China, 27°44'55N, 117°40'49E, October 30, 2005, collected by Zi-Wei Song and Xiao-Feng Xue. Paratypes, 13 females with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host. Mites are vagrant on the undersurface of leaves, causing no apparent damage.

Etymology. The specific designation wisterianis is from the generic name of the host plant, Wisteria .
